Carpet cleaner

Can someone help with this? Every time I research I get nowhere.

I have beige carpets. They have been trampled on with shoes throughout.

A while back I hired a Karcher carpet cleaner from the dry cleaner for £40. I put the liquid they gave me in it and used it throughout. The water was still coming up brown after 2-3 uses. I felt like all I was doing was lifting surface dirt and not getting in, like they weren't really that clean at the end of it.

Is there another more deep clean option? Or do I just use the Karcher more often?

Thanks in advance.

Rug Doctor are excellent.
Realistically I'd say get a professional in though, because they 'finish' the carpet with a coating of some sort to prolong the clean.

Ah thank you! I will try Rug Doctor and see how that goes.
