OP posts:
EHM · 24/04/2008 16:02

I did betterware last year for a couple of months it worked out less than min wage. lots of ungrateful old people too. Plus lots of walking the streets in the rain. luda forgot to say earlier how on your behalf following your dad's 'offer' for a deposit. it must be so frustrating.
been to post office. went for a walk with ellie, this child does not feel the cold or the rain. I am beginning to think she is super human, doesnt need sleep, feel cold or rain
Lady who works with my sister in a call centre at night & weekends does Avon she does very well.
GOd I am rambling. to HN
must go & finish on line grocery order, the fridge/freezer is bare.

Ludaloo · 24/04/2008 16:06

Hi HN glad the lo's seem better now...hope there is no more sick!

Bianca....oooh I wonder who that was, I have been taking my bag everywhere, and I've told a good few people about you too. I was only the other day telling someone at toddler group.

Jas someone else said that you have to pay for the books out of your wages....I will have to make sure I get them all back, and I know who I am giving them too.
I don't really fancy door to door particularly. I'm hoping between friends, school, nursery and toddler group I'll be able to distribute enough.

Ludaloo · 24/04/2008 16:10

EHM Ah Ha...Someone does well at it LOLOL! Well I'll give it a go.
I can always stop if it seems unworthwhile.

grouchyoscar · 24/04/2008 16:30

EHM Ellie is doing that 'I don't need anything' bit that kids do. You think 'Eh, how on earth can you do X?' when you know you'd be exhausted, miserable. The joys of not being jaded or a mum!

Ed hasn't told me about his day yat, he went to play at his friend's (Again) and next door's DS wanted to play with him when he got home (in tears as his friend had gone to his Auntie's) They are in the front room playing Lego Star Wars. I don't usually let his do it on a school night but NDDS has 4 sisters and I think he enjoys some all boy time.

While Ed was out I put away the pile of clean, ironed laundry that has been lurking round the bedroom. Oh and had a cuppa and listened to Will Self on Radio 5 (I find the guy curiously engaging)

DH at work 'til 7 so I've got to make Ed his tea and encourage some school work. Other than tomorrow's lunchboxes I've done as much as needs doing today.

God I do ramble, sorry. I just needed some adult conversation IYKWIM

I'll catch up with the thread and get with the programme

TeenyTinyTorya · 24/04/2008 16:43

clean bathroom done
do dishes done
put ironing away done
do more washing done

And I've had a shower and tidied up!
Ds would only fall asleep when I put him in the rucksack on my back, so I have sore shoulders now. Off to see "Anything Goes" with my entire family tonight though, so that should be fun.

dylsmum1998 · 24/04/2008 16:46

Ludaloo · 24/04/2008 18:41

Well just finished clearing supper plates away.
DD1 has been out looking for snails! She has made a home for them. One big one and 4 little ones.

DS and DD2 are watching Spongebob.

DH has nipped out and I am contemplating eating a kitkat left over from DS's lunch box.

scattyspice · 24/04/2008 18:45

Hi Ludaloo.Avon's quite popular round here. I've a friend at work does it and a neighbour. I buy regularly and love the stuff. Hope it goes well for you.

Nuts I've been out of action for a while but willfind out what PDA is. It sounds like you've got alot on your plate though. I often think parents are wrongly blamed for alsorts of things. People forget that children are independent little people not a pet or an accessory that can be manipulated at will. Good luck.

Now. Need to make the sandwiches.

Ludaloo · 24/04/2008 18:52

thanks Scatty

BiancaCastafiore · 24/04/2008 19:02

Dd is having one of her tantrums I've come downstairs to count to ten before I go and try talking to her again.
She's over-tired and over-excited about the weekend.

TheMadHouse · 24/04/2008 19:57

The boys are in bed and were really good at the dentist a clean bill of heath for each of them.

Me, well I need to go back for one filling and a clean. DH is a different matter. He needs to go and have a full mouth xray, as the others were showing damage to his upper routes. SO he is off to the dental hospital to have that done.

We had fish and chips for tea - yum

No flying other than the shopping, but I did manage that with all 3 children, as I dropped mother off as she was driving me insane

Ludaloo · 24/04/2008 20:05

Well now I'm scuppered! Just spoken to our landlord and told him all about our plans....and that we just wanted to see what his plans for this house would be....and he said actually he didn't have any particular plans and would consider selling to us in the future. He is comming to have a chat about it at the weekend.

Well we were convinced he was saving it for his DD's!! That's what he told us when we moved here.

Half of me is thinking damned it! and the other half is thinking cool!

It does mean we wouldn't have to move, but it does mean we would have to think about redecorating!!

I know for a fact DH won't want to move...especially as the house next door is more rent per month.

God and I'd have to tell the lady who owns next door we have decided not to move! What a mare, she is willing to take it of the market for us!
She seemed quite nice...and did keep saying "If you decide to" "but you'll have to discuss it with DH" .... well we'll just have to see what our landlord says at the weekend....but he seemed quite ready to consider the idea of us buying here in the future!

What to do! What to do!!!! (as my dad would say!)

tortoise · 24/04/2008 20:09

Evening all.
Verrrryyy tired tonight. have walked miles today! I have a happy Ds2. He loved the bike! DD1 had the day off because of her cough/cold/temp.

Not read the thread yet. Will try to in a minute.
Did see message from jas though! SW thinks it a bad idea to ask XP2 for any contribution to the party in case her sees it as a chance to get back into a relationship. I don't think he would try but never know! She might be able to get £10 from something i forget the name of! not much but will help.

BiancaCastafiore · 24/04/2008 20:10

ohhh, Luda ....what to do indeed!

BiancaCastafiore · 24/04/2008 20:11

Yay Tort glad ds likes the bike

tortoise · 24/04/2008 20:11

Oh no Luda. What a dilema. Not sure what is best really. Hope you can sort something somehow.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 24/04/2008 20:15

Luda - whatever happens is good progress ref house. When something is your own, you are more likely to want it to look nice so DH will be up for decorating.

I'm on my own tonight. Girls in bed so I'm just cooking my dinner. Toys everywhere but it takes me twice as long to clear up as I still cant kneel. Might leave it for tonight and clear 2 x the amount tomorrow.

tortoise · 24/04/2008 20:38

EHM Just looked at pics of Ellie on your profile. She is so sweet. DD1 has that green cup in 1st pic!

Nutsaboutchocolate · 24/04/2008 23:09

Hi again All

I just got to bed and thought I would look in quickly.

I did all the ironing tonight. Just needs putting away now, which I will do tomorrow.

to EHM I think I`m the biggest waffler

Luda No more sick here at the moment. DC seem to be fine now.
It is all go on the house front for you.
I have moved 3 times in the last year. I hope to stay here for a long time now. The house is good but the school and the help DS1 is now getting are just so great and I would hate to have to move and loose them.

LOL @ dlys with nits. Though DS2 does call me I am nutty at times.

scatty PDA is Pathological Demand Avoidance syndrome. If you Google it you can get more info. I would do a link but I would probably mess it all up to night.

Bianca I hope DD stopped her tantrum.
DS1 gets them all the time and we have to just leave him to it and walk away.

THM Fish 'n' Chips. MMmm I`m getting hungry now. >>>>>

FGS The DC will only get them out again in the morning if you put them away to night. So save them that job and leave them out

Tort Glad DS2 like his new bike. I need to get a bike for DD. Might be a Christmas pressie.

I dont see how asking XP" for a contribution to his DD`s birthday party would lead him to think you want him back. Does it mean any parent paying the CSA for their children think they will get back to having a relationship with their X. Your SW sounds like my old ones. They will saying anything to get things to work their way of thinking. It makes me wonder how they become SWs with some of their ideas. They get things wrong but still say they are right and then say stupid things that dont make sense. Then they tell others that the parents have said things that dont make sense and miss quote them in reports.

Another bit I hate about my old SW is that she said I was not to talk to XP2 yet had to talk to XP1 or it was bad for the children. XP1 was the biggest problem we had in our life back then. Saying he wanted his boys but making every excuse not to have them and lying through his teeth. How could this be good for the boys.? Sorry with what I have found out in the last 2 days I dont trust SWs at all. I did not trust them before, but now........... They dont know what is best all the time and get it all wrong.

And then to tell you you can get £10. What would £10 get you for a party? The party bags would cost more than £10. The local soft-play here charges £12 a head for a birthday party with them (£10 a head if you have over 20 children go) You have to bring the birthday cake and if balloons are wanted you have to pay for them aswell. They do the soft-play, a little bit of food and a silly party bag (4 small crayons, a very very small colouring book, a party whistle, and a silly plastic animal(which you would get in a cheap Xmas cracker) We looked into doing a soft-play party for DSs but it was going to cost so much and there was not a lot for the cost. We had 25 children in the house instead. We did have help for some of the mums as well

Rant over

I better try and get some sleep.

Night night all

HN xxxx

Nutsaboutchocolate · 24/04/2008 23:13

for the mums ?? From the mums

I knew I would mess things up, just think what the link would look like and the troble you would all have with it if I had tried

shouldbeworking · 25/04/2008 00:16
