We currently have a Whirlpool top-loader, American style &b it has been FAB. However having ben usd & abused for over 5 years it has gone to the great White Goods dump in the sky.

Yes I am being sad & inviting you to be so with me as we discuss Washers

Anyone got any recommendations for a fave model??

I have too much laundry on a daily basis to have a normal domestic one they are so blardy SLOW after the old one. It took up to 18 lbs & we do about 4 loads a day (not always full ones)

4 loads a day? [puzzled emoticon]

I limit it to one a day, even when I had a baby in cloth nappies. You must have (a) hundreds of children or )b) very very high standards.

Ah fair enough.

Miele make indestructible washing machines, but don't think they do top loaders. But if not all your loads are full ones, it might still work?
