Can I dye my cotton/lycra yoga pants black again??

they've gone that faded black that old black trousers go and I would rather dye the perfectly good 2 pairs that I have rather than buy a new pair. Dylon dyes say cotton only - does that mean they won't work??

I must confess that I have never set foot in a yoga class in my life. I do indeed wear them to go out and buy crisps and they are actually the only things I can wear when pregnant. They are utterly fabulous and are from white stuff and I bought them before DC1 and wore them in to the hospital at full term etc. I thought that saying they were yoga pants might describe them a little better than 'my chav trousers that DH can't stand that don't cut me up the fanjo'
