Utility room help! A sliding shelf?

I have a teeny tiny utility room, and am constantly drowning in laundry/ ironing etc. Am trying to think of ways to improve its function so that I can get on top of things.

Have attached a photo of my stacking washer and dryer, and am thinking a retractable sliding shelf between them would be very helpful for balancing a basket on, folding clothes and even ironing things- does anyone know if such a thing exists? Would rather not have to pay someone a fortune to fit or make it. Ideally would be attached to the undersurface of the shelf that separates them.

thank you in advance!

We've got a slidey shelf, it's part of the stacking kit we got ours from Samsung

Yes that would be great for your set up. They do exist! My friend has one that she can fit a laundry basket on.
I've lost the link, but if you go on amazon and search for 'pull out laundry shelf' they should come up.

Yes we have one of these and they're great. I think ours is the stacking kit that currys sell but I've just looked online and they're now £55 🤯. I paid nowhere near that.
They have heavy duty fastenings to make sure nothing slips.

You'd have to remove the shelf between to make a stacking kit work though. I haven't seen anything that would work with it still in place.

Thank you! Those stacking things look awesome. I wonder if there’s any way I can make it work with the existing shelf- it’s really sturdy and nailed to the wall so am reluctant to get rid of it. But that’s exactly the sort of thing I’m after

I have the exact same set up and was considering using som drawer runners and a piece of wood to attempt my own

I’ve been looking at the suggested ones on Amazon, and someone has posted a photo of them having it attached to the top of their washing machine, underneath the existing shelf. It’ll be a tight squeeze on my setup but I’m going to give it a try. I’ve found one with a completely flat pull out shelf that looks perfect so fingers crossed! I’ve ordered and will hope it fits

If there's a wall either to the right or left of those machines, what about a wall-mounted folding shelf something like this to put your basket on?

Or a wall-mounted ironing board?

Tiny room alas, but great idea!
