restoring off-white blouse back to white.....

have got a favourite white work blouse. Cotton collar and cuffs, but the rest of it is polyamide, and that bit is now off-white. Was thinking of soaking it in some of the whitening stuff you get for net curtains (if they still make that) a) will it work b) will it do anything bad to the cotton bits c) any other ideas (don't really want to throw it out!)?
Thanks.

glo-white or similar (they do still do it, is with the stain devils etc in Tesco) is worth a bash but may point up the difference between the cotton and the synthetic bits

thanks MrsB. That's what I feared. Will try it as a last ditch attempt. Anyone else any thoughts?

how do you use them Seasider? Do you make up a solution or something?

I put them in a washing ball in the machine along with my dollop of Fairy washing liquid in my other washing ball.

Put it in the wash with a box of sea salt.
