Anyone know why integrated appliances are SO much more than free standing?

You can buy a AAA rated washing machine for under £200, but yet the cheapest integrated is £320 - that's without the door etc. I would have though they would be less as they don't need to look nice as they are hidden - in the pictures they are really ugly with screws all over the place but yet they are so much more... anyone know why? Am I missing something? Dishwashers aswell, they seem about double the price.

Supply and demand.

On average, more free-standing appliances will be sold so they are classed as mass-market. Integrated appliances are still seen as a premium product and therefore less are made and production costs are higher.

Ridiculous really.
