Spring cleaning - how often and to what degree ?

We moved a year ago and I have been gradually spring cleaning over past month or so. This weekend dh is away so tackled our bedroom. Can already feel a benefit with having less dust around and I even found dd's first tooth we thought we lost back in August when I pulled the bed out to hoover behind and under. Made me wonder how often others clean to this degree.

Has anyone any experience of ioniser/purifier things like Goodspheres as we seem to accumulate dust so quickly and wonder if that helps keep the atmosphere cleaner. Have had a lingering cough and am certain this hasn't helped .

Never spring clean as Try to blitz every room once a month therefore it never gets too bad

Blitzing as opposed to daily clean

  1. Move all furniture and hoover
  2. Clean out drawers and cupboards/ wardrobes
  3. Scrub skirting
  4. Clean inside of windows
  5. Damp dust
  6. clean inside of lampshades

Once a year was curtains and blinds

Sorry don't know about the ioniser thing but DS has asthma and keeping a very low dust level definately reduces night cough
