Does anybody have any genius ideas please? I've tried wire wool and Pink Stuff. Also tried warming it up with steam, but can't budge it.

It's inside the microwave on the stainless steel.

Try Elbow Grease, I find it the best thing for de-greasing!

Don't use wire wool on stainless.
I'd try a good quality oven cleaner spray.
Good luck.

Thanks for replying, both. Yes, I think it's going to be a strong chemical needed.

cif cream is my go to for stubborn stains.

I'd use a dishwasher tablet, dissolved in really hot water and some bicarb for scrub power

Good call, thanks. I've used a dishwasher tablet as a paste and it's really improved it.
Will get something else from the shops to finish it off.

Alcohol based hand sanitiser is a powerful cleaner.
salt, lemon and a plastic wool scrubber?

Awfeck · 15/09/2024 11:29

This is what it looks like after the dishwasher tablet. It's still marked but not so badly.

I had hand sanitiser so tried that just now, but it didn't do anything.

Is this acceptable, do you think? Or would you refuse to eat anything out of it?

That looks fine.

If you can’t get it off with multiple heavy duty cleaners how do you imagine it will affect your food? I would be more unwilling to eat from a microwave that might have a cocktail of aggressive chemicals lingering than one with some immovable marks.
