My kitchen floor is like a swimming pool, washing machine is on spin and the water is seeping out,not only from the seal under the door but from the detergent drawer aswell.I have stopped the cycle but wondered what may be causing this?

It is a fairly new washing machine,a year and a half old,I cleaned the drawer only a few days ago,as I do regularly to remove build up of detergent and fab cond.It isn't making any strange noises or anything.

Don't want to call anyone out on a Sunday to fix it but have all the school uniforms to wash-I know,I shouldn't have left them two weeks to do but HELP!!

Well you probably do need someone to look at it! Sorry!

To stop the leaking you need to drain it, the drain is probably at the from of the machine towards the bottom, get a load of trays etc ready to catch the water. Once the water has drained out you'll be able to open the door and get the washing out.

Mine did this to me when full of nappies when ds was newborn. Over night. In a top floor flat. Ooops.

thanks,I had hoped maybe it just needed a good old clean-wishful thinking!!

If it has suddenly started leaking while on spin it may well have come loose inside (the drum is suspended normally). In which case, I'm afraid it's umm what's the technical term....oh yes buggered and you will need someone to come out and fix it. But slowly undo the drain and drain it into baking trays to get rid of the water. If it was on spin the washing is clean - just wet.
