Weird speck on my ceiling

Hi all,

So DH and I have recently moved house and today I noticed this weird speck on the ceiling. It’s very high up, so I can’t quite tell what it is from a distance. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be/ tips on how to get rid of it please?

Looks like mould ( also your ceiling plaster looks blown) .

Mould what is above there? Check for leaks

Clean it off, paint with mould resistant paint, then normal white.
(I think it is artex rather than blown plaster)

Thanks all! DH reckons it’s spider-related (we found a load of webs next to it) and I know that spiders can leave c* around like this.

We haven’t had any issues with condensation, although the area itself is quite humid so who knows…

Will be borrowing a ladder from a neighbour and trying to get it off. Thanks for all your comments!
