Does anyone have a tiny tumble dryer (like the cylinder ones) - how is it?

We are re-doing our kitchen and we only really have space for a washing machine as I neeeed a dishwasher We currently have a washer dryer and it's the worst thing ever - everything needs to be seperated to dry and then dried twice - taking 2 hours a time, and it still comes out damp. It's been like that from new so I definatly want seperate again, but, the only space free anywhere is in the broom cupboard, which is 46cm wide (the doorway, abit wider inside) and the smallest normal tumble dryer I can find is 49cm wide. Apart from those load from the top weird looking cylinder ones. So..., all I wanted to know (after all the waffling) is are they any good? DO they take alot? I looked at one online and it said it had a 5.5lb capacity, but the smallest square ones take about 4-5kg - is that right? Thanks

Never seen a cylinder tumble dryer. Spin dryer yes. But not tumble.

You don't want a spin dryer.

Their is a frigidaire and a white knight that look like my Mums old spinner but they are def (cant spell definatly) tumble dryers.

what model no missmama. I can only see spin dryers there...but may be blind.

LadyOfWaffle · 20/04/2008 14:46

A spin dryer is not a tumble dryer. They are for use after handwashing.

The washing comes out as if it has just finished a cycle in a normal automatic washing machine.

No value to you I'm afraid.

oh , how odd. Thanks for that, I would have bought one without knowing
