Worn out sofa arms

I don't want to buy a new sofa but the material on the arms are ripped and the foam a bit knackered. I'm not great at sewing but could have a go. Any genius ideas other than buying arm covers? None of those that I've seen fit the arms of my sofa sadly.

Any seamstress could make you arm covers if you can match the fabric.

Worth asking the manufacturer as well.

Such an old sofa sadly..inherited from my in-laws and I think the manufacturer is extinct! I'm trying to avoid spending too much and trying to think of a way to rectify things myself rather than going to an upholsterer although I might try a seamstress as you suggest. Thank you!

If it’s against a wall cut the back out and replace it with plain fabric just fold over raw edge and staple it to frame

ether make arm covers yourself could practice/make a pattern with old fabric

or get a good seem stress
