Cleaning yoga and exercise mats?

Just wondering what people use to clean their mats.

One of the yoga classes I go to supply what I think is a home made spray containing tea tree oil. Another uses wipes. I used to wash an old mat in the washing machine, but that has ruined a more recent mat.

I dont think I've ever cleaned my mat. Could you wash it in the bath?

I wash mine in the bath with warm soapy water then let it dry in the sun.

I wipe it down with warm water and fairy liquid . It makes it slightly sticky, so I would do that before first use too.

Warm water and washing up liquid, then dry off and leave out to fully dry naturally. Don't roll it up damp (voice of experience here, it was not good).

I have isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. I spritz it and wipe dry.

I have a spray kit from Amazon that I never actually use

Same here but include a final rinse in diluted tea tree oil.

On the grass, washing up liquid, soft brush, hosepipe. Then hang it on the line to dry.

I tried laundry detergent once. Smelled nice but made it too slippy.
