Washing pillows

How do you machine wash pillows without them becoming all lumpy?

Feather ones are easy as they fluff up in the tumble drier.
man made I’ve found wash better if the pillow goes against the drum and the middle is filled with sheets and pillowcases so the pillow can’t move round much

I don't use feather but I found pillows are a bit hit and miss with laundering .

Tumble Dryer with some dryer ballls or clean tennis balls to pummel them and puff them back up .

Pillow protector cases -Dunelm do some waterproof zipped ones - are much easier to wash than pillows
