Smelly washing machine

My machine won't drain. Unfortunately engineer can't come out til Tuesday as its bank holiday. I've managed to scoop and soak up water sitting in drum but the smell is awful . Any tips of what I can put in the drum to help? Don't think I can live with the smell of rotten eggs!

I’d put a bottle of white vinegar in

You can usually drain them using the panel at the front. Try googling your make for instructions.

Clean and drain the filter, if it is not draining there must be a clog somewhere. Get on youtube and see if your brand has a video.

I've cleaned filter. Engineer says there's a blockage in outlet pipe. My fault I washed an old rug and it fell apart!

Found a lovely repair man. He cleaned the drain hose and it was blocked with flufffrom a rug, dog hair and gunk! It smells lovely now! Will now be careful what I wash.
