New Bosch WGG244F9GB keeps pausing during wash

I've always had Bosch washing machines and after my last one died after 13 years of loyal service, I bough a replacement - a WGG244F9GB.

It's great - very quiet, and has this 'intelligent dosing' thing where you fill it up with liquid detergent once, and don't have to refill it over a number of washes (it's done 10 so far without the symbol flashing).

However something strange is occurring - sometimes, during a normal 30 C wash, not overloaded, it will stop and the Start/Pause button will flash. Press the button - and the wash resumes.

I've Ghoogled this and it seems to only be a problem - when the wash DOESN'T resume. Mine does, so why is it pausing? Temperament?

Can't find anything in the manual, other than, next to the information about the display, it says of the Start/Pause button: 'Flashes: The programme can be started or continued.' But why should it stop, and need to be continued? Anyone else had this non-problem? 🙂

It may be that the option to press your button to continue the wash is there to speed your chosen cycle. Many washing programmes these days spend a lot more time soaking and less type rolling, which is an energy saver.

If you just leave it be, does it finish in the promised time?

Thanks!

No I've not tried that! I'll give it a go next time.
