...something like putting them in the bath with biological washing powder??? Have I remembered that correctly before I try it?

I was advised to clean my oven with bio washing powder (and I did, and it worked ) so I can imagine that this would be good for the oven trays as well.

I guess I already know the answer to this, but do you make up the powder into a paste with water before using it to clean the oven?

I have never doen it - but yes I would make it into a paste so it will stick to teh sides.

Yeah, make a paste with bio washing powder, as it will dissolve the grease. IF you don't have any but have bicarb or soad crystals, make a paste with that and it will work (just not as quick - it doens't 'eat' the grease up in the same way).

Rinse well, you don't want persil flavoured chips!!
