Big kitchen, best air freshener?

We have a dog so it sometimes smells a bit musty.

Tried plug-ins but they're not great.

I use a diffuser in the loo which is great as it's a small space.

Any ideas for some strong smelling air freshener or something similar that lasts.

Do you have throws and rugs, soft blankets etc, get those washed often.

Empty the hoover often, and clean gje filters etc, doggy smells can linger in them. I have heard of people soaking a cordon wool ball with an essential oil such as lemon, and placing the ball inside the hoover chamber or bag.

Trying a Price's Kitchen candle might be worth a punt.

I'm not a fan of plug in air fresheners, or any kind of air freshener TBH.
I agree with more frequent washing of soft furnishings, and opening the windows.

Jaysus I must put my glasses on, how embarrassing are those typos.

Yes windows open is a good call too.

Rituals do a 'perfume genie' which makes our house smell sublime.

I'd look for something as natural as possible for the kitchen, and I would stick with food type scents. Maybe citrus oils?

We've got an extractor fan on the utility room which is off the kitchen, it works well to get rid of kitchen smells

Strong fragrances in the kitchen (eg wax melts) can taint your food. Ocean Breeze flavoured bread, anyone?

Opening windows is better!

I have a Neom pod, in our big open plan kitchen/dining room. It fills the whole space and really helps with dog smells.
