Xtra tough Vacuum cleaner needed

Hi all!
I'm helping to clean a home that has nit been properly cleaned in a very long time. Getting carpets clean will be a challenge! Today I've tried to use my own hoover but it's a bit useless at best of times. Due to amount of "fluff" and hair it was quickly clogging up at the inlet point (if its a correct term), suction not great. I'm after something that would have really good suction, and won't clog up every couple of minutes. Are industrial type vacuum cleaners better? The henry types? I think karcher also does heavy duty cleaner? Has anyone got recommendation please?

Definitely Henry. Could also then consider a carpet wash vac (hire from B&Q or similar)

Henry would definitely be the most economical option. He has his faults but doesn't lack suction and is a simple beast, less prone to clogging than some.

Henry. Ours is well over 30 years old, has seen us through two house renovations and a young family.

When we had some serious building work done, the builders had one, they said nothing else is half as good.

I got a Miele a few years ago.

My carer jokes that the suction practically lifts the floor.
