Hi. My DD has bit her BORROWED cot, I stupidly swapped with a friend and she has bitten on edge, only about an inch long. Today i have sanded it back and put some danish oil on it (didn't know what to put on it). That bit is now paler in colour than the rest of the cot (light pine) but am hoping after I have put several coats of oil on it it will darken.

We used this same oil on our wooden worktops and im sure they went darker the more we put on.

Is there anything else I can put on it to match the colour back?

Could you tell your friend what's happened? Was it that noticeable? She might not be bothered. I don't think I would be.

I did tell her and she was quite bothered! But at the end of the day we both decided to swap.

I have put several coats of oil on it now but it is still paler than the rest of the cot.

Well, I think if she decided to swap, then she can't be too mad about the consequences. Could you put a teething guard over the rails, or is that not where she's bitten? You can get those crayons to repair scratches - see here. Perhaps they would help?
