My washing machine smells like something died in there!

We've done several 90 degree washes with vinegar, bicarbonate, bio washing powder etc.

The smell just seems to be getting worse!

What next?

Clean the filter?
Or have a peer beneath and behind to see if something like a mouse actually has died 🐀

Clean the drawer

Drain and clear the filter. Make sure you leave the door ajar when not in use.

I had a sock in the pipes when my machine smelled like this.

I had this recently after doing a clean on the machine , as others have said it was the filter causing the awful smell

OK I guess DH is cleaning the filter today. (I've just had surgery) 😂 Thanks everyone.

If there's a lot of gunk in there, it can take a while to clear it and the first attempts can loosen everything instead of getting rid of it.
