Kitchen tiles impossible to clean

Anyone else have kitchen tiles that dirt just cakes into !!! We put them down about 2 years ago. They are wood effect tiles. They feel kinda gritty and are so hard to clean!!!! I can't use a regular mop on them as the head of the mop just mattes . I literally have to use a yard brush and SCRUB them. It takes everything out of me and I end up putting it off for so long . Even when I just quickly clean over them, they still look filthy. Thinking about taking them up and putting down a different tile altogether. Any advice or anyone with similar problem? Can you get a coating for them ?

Have you tried a steam cleaner? They are really good on tiles .
My kitchen floor has grooves in the tiles that can get really dirty, but the steam mop lifts it out

@AtTheTurnybus thank you. I tried my mums steam mop but it's really old and not a great one maybe I will invest in a good one

I’d recommend the shark steam mop with revolving heads. Had mine a couple of months now. Perfect combo of steam and effortless mopping action. Way better than the shark flip steam mop (which was good but not like this).
