He's jus had a phone call explaining the problem.....a bit of a personality clash which means the electrician doesn't want him back on site, but the big boss is happy with his work, and wants him back on a different site tomorrow.

Huge sigh of relief.....

BiancaCastafiore · 16/04/2008 20:31

Evening all

Bainca We ended up at the park too and they had cheese on toast for tea

FGS I would echo the ifection issue. COuld you pop some juice in to a fruit shoot bottle to fool her. As a child I suffered and had to drink barey juice, but I believe that cramberry is good for them too

Ruby I WANT TO COME

jas I am sure something will come up soon, chin up in the meantime - get a list of what needs finishing and then make him crack on and then loads of praise

No flying tonight and we went to the park instead of flying, so more to do tomorrow

Evening all.
I am so tired! Spend about 2 and half hours cutting grass today. I did th other half of it yesterday. Extention lead isn't quite long enough to get right to the bottom! It is a very long garden. lead is 25m and too short! It was very hard to cut the bottom half. The bit i was trying to dig up last year to clear weeds! Decided it was better to just cut it. I did some last year which is mainly grass now.

Really enjoying it being warm and sunny here. Look ok for tomorrow too. Park or swimming i think. Waiting to hear from someone i found on the only bit of netmums i ever look at! She is a single mum of two in same town as me. Hope she is nice!

House is pretty untidy again. Wasn't too bad this morning. I did try ringing a friend to see if she wanted to pop round but she wasn;t in.

Hope everyone is ok.

tortoise · 16/04/2008 22:04

Grrr PC keeps shutting down again!

TheMadHouse · 16/04/2008 22:10

Tort I would KILL to have a garden that lone. I could have a really large veg patch, rather than my 3 barrels.

Our garden isnt big enough - we are looking for an alotment

So Mad is green with

tortoise · 16/04/2008 22:13

Lol TMH. It could be a great veg patch but limited to what could be planted due to a lot of broken glass, rusty nails, very large knife and various other stuff amoungst the mud! Hoping to move trampoline down a bit.
Will maybe plant runner beans if i can.

TheMadHouse · 16/04/2008 22:15

Arg - just get yourself out with gloves and a large sieve thing and clear it when you need some sun.

You could save loads of money on veg, espeically wiht the weather you have in Somerset

I spent hours digging and picking out stones and glass etc last year. It is too bad to clear it all, some are very small pieces of glass. I was told veg/spuds could grow and glass get into it. Would be too hard to see it. Shame because otherwise it is a great garden.

DontDreamItBeIt · 16/04/2008 22:53

I'd put things that grow above ground in, then......beans, fruit bushes, maybe a couple of fruit trees. Low maintenance, and tasty

DontDreamItBeIt · 16/04/2008 22:59

Oooh, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines

I'm very of the size, too as you may have noticed. My garden is about as big as the concrete slab you have peeking out in one corner of your photos.
