Cleaners: questions to ask during interviews

We are currently looking for a new cleaner and as our previous cleaners were from an agency, I have decided to compile a list of questions to ask when interviewing.

If other mums could share the questions they ask their cleaners - or the ones they wished they had - I would be extremely grateful.

I used to have a problem with one turning up and not phoning to cancel,so maybe
Are you going to actually come ?

Tell me about your experience.
What sort of routine do you develop?
Do you prefer a list or to work on your own initiative?
Do you have references? (And phone to check them)
Are there any things you don't do?

Oh, and are you going to turn up

do you do skidmarks?

How long would it take you to do xxx

Then you can see whether she is good value!
