How can I clean this bathmat?

Help! My bathmat has got stained somehow, is it mould?! I've boilwashed it, put stain remover on it. Nothing is shifting it. It's an M&S thick cotton style. It's on the underside.

I’d bin it and buy a new one. Cheap enough in Tesco’s.

It's on the underside? No problem then. What sort of flooring do you have in the bathroom?

@tasmaniandevilchaser I think it may come down to whether or not you're airing it properly after every shower / bath?

I'm a oldie and in my day we were always taught to hang the bathmat inside out after a bath / shower to let it dry and air properly (along with a wash every now and again )

it seemed to work in my day ............... not sure if they've now changed what bath mats are made of ?

@Froniga I think that's the best plan! I'm rubbish at cleaning methods so I just thought someone else might have a better idea on how to get the stains/ mould out .
@ilovemyspace I agree, I think it was put away not completely dry. I thought you could wash mould out but obviously not!

@tasmaniandevilchaser If it has a rubberised coating on the base of the mat, then that does discolour after a while. It is clean, just not a very nice colour. When mine go like that, I start to use them as kneelers in the garden instead.
