storing homemade cakes

Hello - wondering if anyone can shed some light. I need to make a birthday cake for Sunday morning and was hoping to make the bases today and ice it all tomorrow. Would the bases stay fresh and moist if I stored them in a tupperware box?? And if so, should I put some greaseproof paper between them to keep them seperate??? thankyou!

Yes , I'm sure they will stay fresh if kept in tupperware (or similar)- not that cake has ever lasted that long in this house. Greaseprrof paper would be a wise precausion.

What type of cake are we talking here, exactly?

Wrap them individually in greaseproof paper. I keep biscuit tins from xmas for my cakes and biccies.
