Cylinder vacuum cleaner recommedations please

Can anyone recommend a cylinder vacuum cleaner, I'm thinking more in terms of suction. Another factor to consider is that two of us have long hair, so need a floor head without a circulating brush in it. Also, we've got cats, but I'm not sure any pet cylinder we've had before make any difference.

I’ve always had long hair and have never found a vacuum cleaner that’s anywhere near as good as a rubber broom to get the hair up. Takes a bit of effort but so worth it
