Hi I have been having a problem with my Miele washing machine for over 6 months. Black grease like stains left on clothing, unable to get stains out, 4 engineers, parts changed and now still happening.
Engineer is now trying to suggest that we are using some product that reacts with the detergent. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Yes... we changed the bearings in the washing machine and it didn't resolve the issue. Turns out it was the bearings in the tumble dryer that had gone. We had just assumed it was the washing machine.

I noticed there would be no marks when I hung things on the line.

Is it possible it's your tumble dryer?

Have you changed the rubber seal? The detergent drawer? Are you overloading the drum?

No, not tumble dryer as it’s always on T-shirts or shirts and I don’t put them in tumble dryer.

seals have also been changed

I have the same issue with ours, on and off. very annoying. I have to bleach the f out of clothes to get the stains out. I was about to get someone to take a look but will cost as its no longer under guarantee. Never had this before with cheaper machines. Got it new about 5 years ago.

Just read this on a MN post from 2019

"The Miele washing machine has a design flaw which means not all the water is discharged after a wash. A puddle is left in the fold of the rubber door seal. If you close the door on this after a wash, black mould will grow in the machine and stain your wash. It is essential to wipe up the puddle and leave the door ajar after a wash to let the drum dry out properly. Hope this helps."
