Are stainless steel fridge freezers difficult to keep looking good?

I'm imagining smears and marks making it look horrible unless I've just polished it.

If you have one would you recommend? And how do you keep it looking good.

We have a Samsung one and I don't think it's actually stainless steel - I think it's something metal coloured. It's dead easy to keep looking good and the finish doesn't go streaky if you wipe it down.

Wish I could say the same of the sodding microwave.

We have a Fisher&Paykel and not had any problems. Wipes clean and leaves no marks.

We have a stainless steel ff and have no issues keeping it looking good. It's brushed steel, I believe, not shiny polished steel (not sure what the proper name for that is!). I rub any marks away with a damp microfibre cloth, and then 'polish' it by rubbing horizontally in the direction of the brushing marks. I don't use any products.
