Currently have the cordless shark and in just so not impressed I've had it for 2 years now and it's broken twice and been repaired. it's not like I'm hoovering stuff I shouldn't be either. So really looking to get a new one. Cordless or cord
I'm not bothered.

Thank you xxxx

I have a corded Shark and I love it! The best vac I've ever had! Comes apart so I can do the stairs, it's perfect!

Dyson animal - upright one

SuePreemly · 04/07/2024 21:14

Miele cylinder. Knocks spots off everything else.

Screamingabdabz · 04/07/2024 21:17

I bought my elderly mother a cordless Shark based on everyone raving about them on Amazon and on MN. It’s crap. Made for a 7ft giant, noisy, and heavy. I’d say my crappy Dyson is better and I’m not overly impressed with that.

Samsung bespoke jet. Nothing I've ever had before has compared. However, I've never had a Miele.

This.

Either corded Shark or Miele. Own the former, have in the past owned the latter.

I got it down to the reviews too really is rubbish

Miele hoovers are really good! My parents still have one they bought about 20 years ago.

I don't recommend a dyson cordless though. Mine is always getting clogged and it's a pain to get everything out. I regret buying it.

I don't recommend the Amazon basics hoover either. I found the suction too powerful so it would just stick to the carpet or almost pull the flooring up 😱

This. Amazing. It takes the carpet off the floorboards it's so strong. Amazing.

MadisonAvenue · 04/07/2024 21:37

I have a corded Shark, wouldn’t consider anything else. It’s the best vacuum cleaner I’ve owned.

Sprig1 · 04/07/2024 21:42

Henry. He is brilliant.

ScarlettSahara · 04/07/2024 21:47

Another vote for Miele- bought corded cat & dog cylinder. No pets but long hair & this model came with additional turbo head. Great power & easy to pull around & not too noisy. Bought from John Lewis & had some vouchers from their credit card.
Loved my cordless Dyson for lightness & manoeuvrability but regular clogs were annoying & battery probably needs replacing now. If money were no object I can see a case for having a cordless for quick sprints as well as a corded.

Bignanna · 04/07/2024 21:47

Goodman’s cylinder- was cheap but is mighty efficient !

fridaynight1 · 04/07/2024 21:53

Henry

deeahgwitch · 04/07/2024 21:54

Miele Cat and Dog cylinder.
Mine is years old.

cariaaad · 05/07/2024 22:44

Sebo x7 pet. Expensive and a bit heavy but I bloody love it!

lovelysunshine22 · 06/07/2024 00:12

Imo both Dyson and shark are crap! I've tried both and always gone back to a henry! I also now have the Henry cordless, the capacity isn't great and neither is the battery life but it's suction and power are fantastic.

RogueFemale · 06/07/2024 00:15

Also after a new vacuum cleaner, so it looks like a 2nd hand Miele cylinder is the way forward.

(will never buy Dyson anything ever).

Agreed. I have a Dyson V11 Absolute which is great for whizzing round but fot thorough vacuuming, I will never not have a Miele C3 Cat and Dog.

PiggieWig · 06/07/2024 00:20

Miele cat and dog cylinder - I bought mine after seeing it recommended on here and it’s my favourite. I’ve had Dyson, Henry, Shark, but when my Miele packs up I’ll buy again.

JC03745 · 06/07/2024 00:27

Eufy X10. I've only had it 2mths but so far impressed. It vacs then mops the floor. It lifts itself up over rugs and knows not to mop them too.
My other vac is a Henry. Great suction, but heavy and needs bags. I still need to get a hand held one, so watching this thread with interest.
