Evening all

what a day!

total madness at work, no lunch followed by having to leave work to pick teething ds up from nursery after they phoned at 2, then quickly home to unload and reload DW, unload WM and change nappy before dropping him off with my dad to go back to the city to pick up DP to go back to dad's to pick up DS to take him to the docs. Only when we got to dad's ds much improved so had to phone doc to cancel appt that I had begged them for that afternoon (nursery were very concerned at how poorly he seemed to be when I collected him).

Anyway a life insurance person is coming round tonight so DS has been bathed and put to bed. I have properly cleaned the bathroom, mopped the floor and chucked all the towels/bathmat etc in the washer. All of downstairs and the staircase dusted from door tops to floor sod the bloomin' lightshades flylady. Kitchen floor swept, table cleaned, work surfaces cleaned and tidied, milk bottles washed and out, bins emptied, high chair cleaned, paid neighbour for window cleaner and spoke to them about work to party wall, washing hung up, wm on again. Phew!!!!

We are having takeaway for tea after the life insurance chappy has left. I am exhausted but at least I have a cleanish house (well downstairs anyway).

Waves to EHM TMH Dyls jas luda grouchy teeny bianca banana & ruby and anyone who comes after or whom I've missed

DontDreamItBeIt · 10/04/2008 20:16

Have funwith your life insurance chap, Bewilder

Thanks for that link, Bianca I've bookmarked it to try next week. (I'd make it now, but then I'd have to eat it all. (DD1 doesn't like cake ) I'll try it when my parents are visiting

BiancaCastafiore · 10/04/2008 20:18

Doesn't like cake....very odd!

TheMadHouse · 10/04/2008 20:49

evening all

Just got in from the garden, as it has turned dark. We have put all the sand into the sand pit and lovley jigsaw foam tiles from alsi all around it - Its starting to look cool. Dh now has space to erect the wendy house at the weekend - weather permitting.

I have not done much in the way of fly as I have had some quality time with the DSs this afternoon, after shopping with them on my own this morning as mother was not up for it.

But we have moved some of the toys from the conservatory to the bedrooms and rotated some of the others and the little girl from next door has been and watched 101 dalmations.

Nye No book yet

EHM how was preschool

Ruby you can get some bargains from Asda, but I hate the area it is in with a vengence. Not really suitable to go with the children, as their all swear

Luda I am so pleased that you have sorted things with DH

Anyway must dash - food is calling

Evening all

Its been a busy day today.

Yes Dream I did wake up feel good again. Worn-out now though. It does feel so much better for me to wake up feeling good inside.

The meeting went very well again today with DS1s doctor. Im learning so much and that I was not going mad like the social workers wanted me to believe before. The next meeting is next Tuesday. They can not do next wednesday as they are talking the kids out for the day. I signed DS1s form today so he can go. The kids dont know yet, but it a way it is also a test for to see how they cope with just going out without knowing. Some kids have dont this a few times now, the the doctors want to see if things have changed for them from the last time it happened. For DS1 it will be his first time. When I have taking him out like this in the past he does not want to go. It was a case of just taking him. Only the day got going though he would soon settle and enjoy the day. Unless he was in one of his "Im not doing anything moods"

No FLYing for me today. HNtree (My step mum for those who dont know) put her foot down and would not let me. But she knows the rain is coming ans some wet times and she knows I will suffer for it. So really it is for my own good. I did clear the sink and made sure it was shinning and put the DW going before turning the lappy on.

The cake sounds very very yummy Bianca I have booked marked it for now. I will try and make it with DS2 and DD tomorrow. Something nice for DS1 to come home to tomorrow evening. We will probably do more cake making when he is home. One of the only things both DSs will do without fighting is cooking cakes.

Its taken me ages to type this. I have been watching 'Katie and Peter, the next chapter' as well

Nutsaboutchocolate · 10/04/2008 22:09

I meant to ask......

Has anyone used a 'Rug Doctor' carpet cleaner. If you have, What are they like? Are they easy to use and do they really work as good as they say they do?

I want to give our carpets a good clean and the 'rug doctor' one seems to do the job going by the adverts on the TV. Just wondered if they are as good as they say. They seem cheap enough to hire out. I think Morrisons hire then for something like £35.

HN xx
