I just use a damp cloth on my pale leather sofa. I'm always amazed at the amount of grime that comes off it, even when it's not noticeably dirty. I wonder what horrors are lurking amongst the weft of our fabric-covered sofa.

I seem to remember that the salesman at DFS recommended wet wipes for cleaning leather sofas.

Don't know if my method is "healthy" for a leather sofa. I don't clean mine often but last time I did, I took a wet magic sponge, rubbed the sofa with it and then wiped over with a cotton cloth. One small section at a time.
Was shocked to discover my sofa had actually turned grey without me noticing and cleaning it like this made it turn up like new.

To avoid the leather drying out and cracking you could wipe it with one of those special leather wipes that contain cream afterwards. I think I got mine from homebargains years ago.
