Washing smells!

I absolutely love the smell of fabric conditioner and soap on my washing! I can't tell you how excited I get over a new Leonor or comfort on the shelves 😅
But I have noticed rec tilt that things just aren't smelling as fresh. Coincidentally all these smell enhancers (or whatever they're called) have been released over recent years and it's basically a thing now that you need those extra beads to be able to smell the perfume!
What is everyone using in their washing to get it to smell so good and make it last!

How often are you properly cleaning your washing machine? Running a 90deg empty wash? It's probably gunked up

Supermarket brand powder and line drying. Sun dried clothes are amazing to smell

capsules and laundry liquids and fabric softener all contain things that stick to the fabric and stop them being really clean, and can even cause the fabric to rot

Regularly! My washing ams hinge is definitely not the issue. My clothes don't smell bad at all.. they just smell of nothing and I want that washing smell! 🙈

I've noticed this too, my baby clothes in storage from 2021 smelled so much nicer before I washed them to freshen them up for baby. Gutted, I absolutely loved that smell of the fairy non bio when you opened the wardrobe 😭. I'll need to see if the scent boosters smell the same or if they've just completely changed the formula.
Relatively new washing machine and I cleaned it with Dr beckmann service it on a hot wash, and scrubbed the drawer/drawer space and filter before washing the baby clothes so that's not the issue either.
