Expensive Goose Down quilt - still smells after airing and washing for over a week!!

First world problems here, but we were kindly gifted a very expensive (brand new in packaging) goose down quilt, I wasn’t aware of the smell that these have and have since followed loads of advice to get rid of the smell- to no avail 😐
any advice would really be appreciated as I would love to start using it - minus the smell!!

Sorry to be unhelpful but washing a new goose down quilt was not a good idea, the smell fades. We have a Hungarian goose down quilt without any problems.
