Looking for cordless hoover recommendations

Looking for the cheapest option that doesnt compromise on efficiency.
Hoping to spend under 300 if possible but can stretch, no pets but 3 young DC who make mess!

Changing to cordless sounds easier (fairly large house) but only if it doesn't reduce efficiency?

We have a cordless shark, really recommend it, battery seems to last ages longer than I expected. We have the one that fold over for easy storage, can't remember it's name sorry but it makes hoovering soo much quicker.

They usually have good deals on, especially if you are a blue light card holder?
