Cleaning a waterfall shower head

Hiya I moved into a new flat a little while ago and the shower has started spraying water everywhere and sometimes water not even coming out of the holes. I know that this is limescale buildup and I need to clean it. I have severe ocd and worry about jobs I’ve never had to do before plus chemicals etc. I think the shower head can be unscrewed but I’m worried that this will be a messy job. Can anyone give me any tips and encouragement to get this job done please?

We have a similar shower head. Ours screws off easily. You might get a bit wet from watcher still inside it.

Once it's off, give it a soak in white vinegar to clear the lime scale. Ideally fills wide bowl with the vinegar and leave it in there.

Then give it a wipe over and screw it back on (easier if you're taller!)
