Would you put sofa seat covers in a heat pump tumble dryer?..

I NEED to wash them. They haven’t been washed since last summer.

We have a chihuahua that is bathed once a fortnight but let’s face it dog’s smell!

My living room has a weird smell I cannot get rid of. Hoovered daily and the sofa. But it smells weird in there. Walls washed with zoflora, fabreze sofa and carpet. All furniture cleaned 3 times a week. Has to be the sofa.

I keep waiting for the sun to come out so I can wash and dry the covers. It’s not happening.

I tumble dry loads of things that are labelled not fit for tumble drying and they are fine - I am thinking because it’s a heat pump dryer so dries at a lower heat.

Would you risk it?…🤦🏼‍♀️

No.
I’d wash them really early and throw old towels/blanket on the sofa whilst they dry slowly on a rack. My towels can be dry the next day doing this so I don’t imagine cushion covers would take any longer.

No I wouldn’t. Hang then up overnight. Put them back on the cushions before they are fully dry - otherwise they can shrink a little.

With messy children and dog I have lots of experience in this area.

No I wouldn't. Have you seen the price of replacement covers.

I'd dry clean them if the label allows.

No! They will shrink and you'll never get them back on. Wait for a dry day and hang them outside.

And do a cold water wash.
