Hello, we have a new oven and in the manual it says not to use chemicals to clean it. Might be a daft question but how on earth do we clean it properly without any cleaning products?

Does it specify what chemicals?

A lot of people mix random cleaning products / use the wrong ones on ovens, like super abrasive cleaners on the glass etc.

If it's a brand new oven and you give it a wipe over if anything spills immediately after spilling then it'll help avoid the need to clean with harsher cleaners! I like water / white vinegar solutions for cleaning an oven, I just avoid the seals and only use water in them so the vinegar doesn't degrade them.

What does it say about cleaning?
Our oven is several years old and nothing fancy, but my sister's new oven has a self-cleaning coating that would be damaged using an regular oven cleaner product.
