Nice smelling home cleaning products

I'm after something that I can clean my home with, but smells nice.

I almost subscribed to Purdy & Fig, but a friend tried it and wasn't overly impressed, so didn't renew subscription.

Any recommendations?

I don't think you can beat the smell of Pledge furniture polish myself.

Other than that, I use hot water with a dash of washing up liquid and bleach in.

crazycatladie · 11/06/2024 16:15

Method cleaning products smell lovely.

poppet131 · 11/06/2024 18:14

I’d second method too!

Clawedino · 11/06/2024 18:21

I recently discovered the Zoflora Springtime range and love this!

Loafbeginsat60 · 11/06/2024 18:23

Zoflora nectarine and vanilla or cucumber and mint is lovely

It doesn't last anywhere near as long as purdy and fig tho. But they stopped doing my favourite scent.

First world problems!

FrancisSeaton · 11/06/2024 18:27

Following- tried method but it smells too synthetic for me
Do love the smell of purdy and fig but the price is the off putting factor

Jeezitneverends · 11/06/2024 18:28

I make my own, and add eucalyptus essential oil, its lovely

Ereyraa · 11/06/2024 18:31

M&S, the whole range is great, and very reasonable

Their hob cleaner is the only thing that leaves my stainless steel hob shiny and streak free.

BuggeryBumFlaps · 11/06/2024 19:52

Oh thanks I’ll take a look.

I'm in love with purdy and fig.

DeadbeatYoda · 11/06/2024 19:59

I really like at least two of the Purdey and fig scents. If you like Clarins (yellow packaging products), Elemis, neals yard type scents - botanical / spa style - then you'll probably like Purdey & fig.
If not, method are nice ( rhubarb one o find incredibly sickly).

buffyslayer · 11/06/2024 19:59

I like
Method passion fruit shower
Flash French soap
Flash spray and wipe (all nice!)

Skeldale · 11/06/2024 20:00

I did subscribe to Purdy and Fig but like your friend I wasn't overly impressed. The fragrance just didn't last. I like Method but the best surface cleaner I've found so far is an Ineos one I got from Sainsbury. The fragrance really hangs around. I might try their hand wash too.

TheCheeseThief · 11/06/2024 20:01

I like the zoflora bathroom spray and method kitchen spray.
Floors I like flash apple floor cleaner.

Sometimes I just use bleach, but it gets a bit much when the house smells like a swimming pool for weeks on end. Grin

Grace1980xxx · 11/06/2024 20:02

Method's wood floor cleaner (if you like almonds), their rhubarb spray and their shower spray (think it's eucalyptus)

whyamisotiredallthetime · 11/06/2024 20:53

I love these Spanish cleaning products
This says floor cleaner but I dilute some in a spray bottle and use it for everything
I do the floors too and then spray the kitchen sink when I go to bed

Love it

I'm always considering purdy and fig, but it's expensive if I don't like it. I really want to smell it first. I use Method but I can't say the smell really lasts.

I bought the Ineos Pomegranate and rhubarb cleaner from Sainsburys it was on offer and love it! I mentioned on another thread about it and someone said they hated it, so I was a bit reluctant to mention it on this one. Glad there is someone else who likes it. I love that I can clean the kitchen with it, go away and when I come back it still smells. Not overpowering but there.

Luddite26 · 12/06/2024 06:22

I use method a lot and find the anti bac good on bathrooms especially. I don't like the bathroom scent it gets stuck in my throat.
M and S are fab and very good value.
I use flash with a mop and bucket generally. Sometimes bleach and method washing up liquid

Skeldale · 12/06/2024 07:25

I've got the Bergamot and Cedar Ineos one and I love it, it is very Purdy and Fig but actually hangs around.

BuggeryBumFlaps · 12/06/2024 07:32

Method seems to be getting lots of mentions so I'm off to Google

Luddite26 · 12/06/2024 08:47

I'm going I'm going to try the Ineos!

AlisonDonut · 12/06/2024 08:57

I have used Splosh for years, I even bought a job lot when I moved to France because it is so good.

MammaTo · 12/06/2024 08:59

The Spanish cleaning stuff smells lovely and you only need a small amount of it diluted in water.
