Ant infestation

I am in council housing. A few weeks ago tiny ants took over my kitchen, I think they have come in from my garden. They have actually gotten into my cupboards and eaten through things and they currently seem to be living under my fridge. They have moved to other areas of my house, they are crawling all over the place and I’ve had them crawling on me. After reporting this to the council, how long do they have to do something about it?

Just get some ant traps from B&M or the supermarket. They’ll disappear overnight.

Pharaoh Ants?

I had ants coming into my council flat from the garden outside. My council will only deal with pest control for rodents, nothing else.

I had ants coming in every summer so I got someone to come out and seal up where the ants have been coming in from the garden. This seems to have improved things.

Don't leave any food out. Put all food in cupboards in sealable plastic boxes.
Ants love anything sticky like jam or sugary tea.

Hope you manage to get rid of them
