Scrub daddy scratched my shower head

Just used a scrub daddy sponge on my shower head which I believe is plastic coated and it's left scratches all over it despite being a non scratch sponge.

Anyone had this with other surfaces? I've just stocked up and scared to use it on my stainless steel taps or kitchen surfaces now 😔

Well it's plainly not non-scratch so why would you risk ruining other surfaces with it? I mean surely it better to throw them out rather than risk more damage.
