biological contains certain enzymes that help clean better, get rid of stains but aren't great if you've got sensitive skin or for babies . Also you can't use them on certain fabrics (eg silk, wool) . Non bio uses gentler chemicals to clean that avoids some of effects of bio.

Liquid/tabs etc are just the delivery method - depends on your machine/brand as to what you prefer to use -personally I think tablets or liquitabs are easy as dose all set and you can put them direct into the drum with your washing.

Bio stuff has enzymes in it which are better are getting rid of bio stains - food, blood, poo, snot etc (not mine, obviously)

Non-bio doesn't.

Powder, liquid etc = different methods of getting detergent into the water

And you shouldn't use a biological detergent about 40C or you kill the enzymes and make it a non bio.

Biological detergents are good on food stains as teh enzymes are there to break down the fats and proteins that make up food.

Thanks all

so which one to go with? Non Bio or Bio I have 3 children and just used what my mother used (Ariel) I used nothing else.

Want the best stain removal, but one of the children is 12 weeks old

We are currently using a non bio.

When your youngest gets to about 18-24m switch to a biological unless any of them come out in a rash with it.

Not worth trying to seperate babies washing to use a non bio for one load and a bio for another.
