Silk dress

I bought a Hobbs silk dress 2 years ago and I have only worn it once or twice. The label says dry clean only and I don't have any dry cleaners near where I live.

Is it okay to clean it in 20/30 degree wash cycle? I'd really like to wear it again. 😅

Thanks.

You can use some woolite detergent and soak and agitate it slightly in a bowl. Rinse with cold water gently, don’t drench it under tap. When was the first time you wore it? Sweat stains left for 2 years might not come out.

If your machine has a wool or silk delicates cycle you can use that, in a wash bag, it’s usually 20 degrees and a low spin speed.

Depends on the item itself, but no I wouldn’t put a silk item in a 30 degree wash. Especially a dress as it would distort the fit at the seams.

I have got it dry cleaned a few days after I wore it for the first time. And I haven't worn it since then.
