Is there such a thing as a nice puffy, fluffy 4.5 tog duvet?
Currently have one from m and a and it's like a limp rag on the bed!
Any recommendations???

Mine is like a limp rag too, it makes the bed look depressed.

The lower tog means less filling so, unfortunately, I think it's a choice between the limp rag look or your bed feeling like a sauna.

I’ve got a 4.5 tog feather one from John Lewis, it fluffs up nicely. It came as a set with a 9.0 tog, you can button them together for winter.

However, I’m sick of duvet covers & changing bedding every week throughout summer so I’ve just ordered a 4.5 tog coverless duvet.

How do you keep it clean @Offredismysister ?

Do you put a flat sheet underneath and then just shake and air the duvet everyday? Or do you wash it like a duvet cover regularly?

legacyflygirl · 02/06/2024 22:43

@Offredismysister I would do the same, but we have a super king size bed and I don't think it would wash well (even though we have a large capacity washing machine).

I love the super king bed, but the bedding drives me insane. I have never bought so many duvets and duvet covers! And still it isn't right.....

I hate the puffy ones. They look really messy. Flat ones look so much nicer and neater.

Offredismysister · 02/06/2024 22:47

@Whatineed it hasn’t arrived yet, but all the reviews says it goes in the washer, so am hoping to wash it regularly & hang on the line to dry.

We bought a winter duvet from The Fine Bedding Company and loved it so much we bought a 4.5 tog one for the summer and matching pillows. Ours are called Breathe I think. Honestly so fluffy and light it's like sleeping in a cloud.

I'll have to have a little Google. I like the sound of them.

Floks all natural. X

Summertimer · 02/06/2024 22:57

I sleep under this tog for most of the year. I find big puffy duvets too hot unless it’s Nov-Feb. Occasionally, if winter has been mild we just have a fleece blanket on the top of the duvet

thedendrochronologist · 03/06/2024 08:12

Do you have a feather or down OP? I find anything else unbearable now
