Capsule wardrobe for ten year old girl

My daughter has way too much clothes. I'm trying to rationalise it down to a sensible amount. Looking at blogs they are suggesting 4 shorts, one dress, four tshirts which is far to little even though I normally wash daily or every other day.

I normally like to have 4 sets of school uniform.

Ds12 can fit his entire wardrobe into two deep drawers plus two kalax box's.

Dd has mountains of clothes dispite not buying much for a year. She is very slow to grow

Trimming down what she has already got is a different problem to running a capsule wardrobe in future.

Get her to try everything on. Put aside everything that's too small, and anything too big or out of season in a separate pile to go in the top of her wardrobe. Also cull anything she never wears because she doesn't like it. The rest I'd keep to get her through the summer hols.

Girls are harder than boys and it depends whether they like dresses/leggings etc. I think a total of about 10 tops and dresses, and enough bottoms to pair with however many tops they have in that. Plus a couple of hoodies or cardis. I'd say a couple of pairs of shorts and about 3 pr leggings is not OTT. Their clothing varies a lot more by the weather and occasion than boys' clothes tend to.

We had DD try on everything for the upcoming season in Sept and April, and only go shopping for things she is missing.

She has tried everything on and said she will wear everything that still fits so I will see if she does. I had already done a massive cull on her wardrobe, then found boxes of summer clothes under her bad I'd forgotten about from last year.

Ideally going forward I don't want anything under her bed. I don't think I'm going to be buying any clothes for a long time.
