I got one off marketplace £15 whilst they are good and handy I could bring myself to spend a substantial amount on one

I got a Lakeland one that was £99. It's excellent and picks up an amazing amount of dirt from floors I didn't think were particularly dirty! It has settings for 3 different surfaces and has a rectangular head. My previous one had a triangular head which was absolutely useless.

We have this Steam mop from Shark which is good but we got when it was on offer. It is good for getting the floors clean if used with floor cleaner too.

Mines isn't a steam mop, it's a Karcher floor cleaner which is great. It has a tank for water and cleaning stuff and operates to rollers (look like paint rollers) which spin. They spin forward to its literally effortless and makes a great job of the floors.
