I will watch this thread with interest only it is my bedroom carpet that is stinking! (dd2 is not well and christened it rather nicely)

Don't the covers come off for washing?
If not then scrub with soap and hairdryer it or leave in sun, if that's possible, then spray with perfume...

Shitemum · 05/04/2008 15:08

Oh, and maybe consider cutting a big flat section from a water-proof sheet and putting it under cover for future accidents?

Bicarbonate of soda works a treat! Sprinkle it on, rub it in a bit, leave for as long as is possible, then vac off. Tried and tested on landing carpet and ds's bedroom carpet a couple of times! Good luck!

Will try the bicarb, thanks!

Try Bicarbonate of Soda. I have dissolved it in water, and scrubbed, or sometimes sprinkle on surface and hoover it up. Honest!

Thank you, I will get some and try it!
