Thoughts on neighbour's door always open?

So if you lived in a bungalow, where your neighbours had the same house but mirror image. And they constantly had their side door open, with their kitchen radio on, which you can hear from inside your house with all the windows and doors closed, would that annoy you a little?

Or maybe I'm being sensitive?

Yes, that would annoy me. Take a rceording of how loud it is on your phone, and pop over and politely explain what a disturbance it is. They may not even realise it's disturbing you.

It's too loud. Annoying. How do you get on with them? I'm guilty of putting things on too loud, a neighbour once complained, I was mortified and apologetic and made sure I kept it down. If they are normal civilised people just say something.
I know - no guarantees these days!

Yes. It would drive me nuts.
There is a lot of building work near us and I have to go out to escape the noise sometimes.
Not sure what I would do in your situation - ask them to turn it down? Invite them round for a coffee and hope they leave the radio on and twig how loud it is?

My neighbour does. She's got shit (to me) taste in music so I just play my own (that she considers shit) music at the same volume until she turns hers down. I've told her several times before that it's booming out and I'll be fucked if I'm having the same conversation twenty times a week. She knows my music going on means she's got hers up too loud yet again. 🤣

If you can hear it with all your doors and windows closed then it's too loud.
Ask her to turn it down a bit. Maybe ask her to come round and listen to it from your house. People often just don't realise how much sound travels.

Yes it would annoy me. Maybe speak to them?

I don't think they realise how much it travels. And tbh DH and I haven't been upfront about it, I HATE complaining.
And the issue is they have lived here a lot longer than we have, and our house was empty for the majority of that time so they have developed habits that don't really work when you have neighbours so close to you. So I think they are having to adjust to us, which they're not happy about, understandably I guess!?

We did have a station last summer where they had a family row outside their kitchen door, right near our son's bedroom so we did moan about that. And I think they have twigged.
