Just walked into a room to find daughter has picked lots of bits of blu tac and trodden them into the carpet...any suggestions as to how I get it out?

Please.

You need a citrus based cleaner or a citrus essential oil (but then you risk an oil stain instead).

Use neat cleaner on a cloth and dab carefully on to blu tak. It should gradually soften and you can carefully pull it away. Slow and painstaking unfortunately.

Thanks. Will look for citrus based cleaner at Tesco later.

would it work same as chewing gum putting ice cube on it to make it go hard then pick it off

the only thing i've used that works is the nozzel of the hoover and just go over and over it, sort of scrape it off.

ok ice cubes forming in freezer.

Hoover unfortunately made things a bit worse, just seemed to rub it in!

No to ice cubes, Blu tak is best removed soft and warm, or else chemically softened (hence the cleaner).

Info direct from Bostick who manufacture Blu Tak, sorry should have mentioned that before.

oh hoover always works for me or scraping off with a flat bit of lego.
